A number of upstairs rooms used for private dining and receptions appear to have been preserved in their original estate complete with period furniture, artworks and place settings.

The dishes my party ordered included a superb haddock and potato hash have only ever had corned beef hash before served in a skillet; a salmon kedgeree; the special of the day, three eggs with truffles and potatoes. We had a morning to fill between checking out of our hotel and catching a train to Ottawa. Time to share a baked Alaska with an ice cream and passion fruit interior.
What with exploring the extraordinary upper rooms on the pretext of visiting the washrooms time flew by such that it rapidly became Great venue inside a beautiful mansion turned hotel.
